Boho Flair

We all know these moments, when we see a piece of clothing and think at the same moment, Oh that is so ugly, I will never, never, never wear that…Yeah, that´s what my article is about today! About a piece that I hated for years and then I tried it on for fun… And you know in what direction this goes…yes, you’re right, I felt in love.

I’m talking about the famous bell – bottom jeans or the so called 70’s trousers. I never thought that jeans like these would ever fit me ´cause I’ m not tall and I always thought only models could look gorgeous in them. One day at work, we started trying clothes on we thought looked funny. I choose a pair of dark bell- bottom jeans and as I had them on, I looked in the mirror and thought… Okay, it doesn’t look bad at all. Then I tried the jeans with some high heels and I absolutely felt in love. These jeans made my legs look longer and my appearance in the mirror seemed totally tall. After this funny experience I bought my first bell – bottom jeans.

Today I have a few tips for you if you decide to get your first one:It´s all about the color, the right rise and as most important, the right length. A bell- bottom jeans should never be too short. The only styling rule is: the fringe has to “touch” the ground! It is always better that the jeans are too long as to short, remember that guys! Darker jeans look more glamorous than lighter and my opinion is that darker jeans length more the legs as the lighter once… but it’s not a rule. And a last tip, even when you think that a bell- bottom jeans doesn’t fit you ‘cause you are not tall and super skinny, you are wrong. Everyone can wear bell – bottom jeans, you just have to find the right one, as I found mine.

Today I styled my jeans with this longer jacket, a white blouse and high heels. The whole outfit has this light breeze of the boho style, which I totally adore at the moment.

And you guys, how do you like it? How do you style your 70’s trousers?
