Cosy velvet was THE cosy and soft fabric during the winter 2017, but a lighter alternative hat to be found for the spring and summer season. This is why velvet disappeared from the shelves and was replaced by the sparkling and noble satin. Besides the daring material trends in 2018, satin is an everyday alternative to vinyl and the transparency trend, which gives every wardrobe a touch of pomp and glory. The delicate, high-shine material resembles silk and is showing up everywhere, from feminine slip dresses, over to wide trousers and bomber jackets.
Every season again there is a new trend that experiences its huge comeback, so the next big thing isn’t always hard to predict. This season the fashion world offers us for Spring Summer 2018 classic, ladylike polka dots. They have their origins in the tradition of the Czech form of dance – polka dance, so the word “polka” is derived from the Polish for “woman” – in Czech translated to “little girl”.

It’s been a while since we published our latest “3 Ways to Wear” article. We got the impression you quite liked these blog posts and for this reason, we decided to give our best to offer you more than one inspo-look when it comes to some trends for 2018. Therefore, we would like to start with a classic piece, which is most likely already present either in your own, or in the wardrobe of your mom. Today, in collaboration with s.Oliver Austria, we’re highlighting three different ways to wear one of the oldest and most classic women´s pieces: the trench coat.
Kimono – a garment with a beautiful Asian history has been a popular piece of clothing in the fashion world for a very long period. This season traditional Japanese dress is now available in different lengths and fabrics. Kimono is such a fun and unique piece of clothing and therefore simply perfect for completing an everyday look just in a few minutes.
Leather or sock boots, kitten- or high-heel, sparkly or unpretentious – no matter which variant, the pointed ankle boot is THE perfect shoe to wear every day (and night!). If you thought there is no high-heeled shoe that is comfortable enough to wear it the whole day, then it’s high time to buy at least one pair and convince yourself of the contrary! As we bought our first pairs, we simply couldn’t just leave it at that. The obsession was born and each one of us now owns at least 3 pairs (maybe a couple more :P).
Meanwhile, we are wearing our beloved pointed ankle boots pretty much every day and for every occasion. No matter if we are going to work, shopping, for lunch in the city or even for a night out, these shoes upgrade every outfit and you can never go wrong with them.
Today we want to show you how to wear pointed ankle boots on 7 days and never repeat the look.
The pencil skirt is one of the most essential pieces in every woman’s wardrobe. As far as we can think back, we can very well remember our grandmas and moms wearing this great piece of clothing. The pencil skirt is a staple well known for being able to do the magic and accentuate women’s curves and the waist. Sadly, somewhere along the way, it gained a reputation for being obsolete and generally relegated to office wear. However, this key piece from the fifties has dominated the fashion shows announcing the major trends for the SS 2018. The pencil skirt is celebrating its big comeback and stylish women are reinventing cool new ways to wear this feminine garment and we decided to share our favorite “3 ways to wear”. Enjoy!
