Every change of seasons I’m going through my wardrobe and clear it out. On one side there are the pieces I store away to wear them the next season again and on the other side there are the pieces I’m selling on a flea market or giving away. And guess which pieces always find their way back into my wardrobe? Right: the timeless basics. Not the pieces you buy because they’re trendy right now, but the classics you can wear in ten years again. I still have some pieces I bought 5 – 6 years ago and still love wearing them. Now these pieces are really worth investing in and here they are:
Do you still remember our blog post from the least week featuring our favorite trends for this fall season? If not, make sure to check it out here, because checks – which are our key focus in today’s blog post- are just one of them. As you all know for sure, checks are one of those trends you don’t need a “special gut” to wear. You know what we mean, right? There are trends you simply feel brave enough to wear… and then, there are those trends you try to follow, get some pieces and quickly realize you feel so uncomfortable wearing them in public. We are sure you’ve all had that moment “Oh, can’t wait to come home, take these clothes down and put my normal clothes on again”. Well, that’s something that can’t happen with checks. Let us show you why.
Fashion weeks and at the same time the shows presenting THE trends for SS 2019 have already started all over the world. Our viennese fashion week has also started a few days ago. However, at the moment, it would be a bit bizzare to write about those trends having fall and winter coming our way in Vienna. This is why we have picked out our favorite fall trends you can and should start wearing immediately. Also, we are showing you how to style some trends in different ways, yey!
The Summer is definitely coming to an end. On one hand, I’m pretty sad that it’s time to store my light summer clothes away. On the other hand, I’m pretty excited because it’s finally time to check out all the new fall collections that are already hanging in the shops. There are already some trends that are obviously going to be huge this fall and winter and one of them is without a doubt the scarf print.
As fall quickly approaches, it’s time to take a look at the upcoming trends that will set the agenda of the season. So what’s new for the fall? Plenty of things! One of the main trends is all into the details… the unexpected, ethnically inspired details. A trend which is mostly appearing at summer festivals, will define the styles this F/W – the folklore trend.
Trends come and go, but there are some classic pieces like dresses that never go out of style. Dresses are not only timeless pieces of clothing, they are even more a statement of femininity. Now and forever dresses are a staple in our wardrobe – either you are going to a party, shopping or to work, a dress will always work for you. No matter where the winds of fashion change take us, here are 5 dress styles that we 3 can’t get by without.
Transparent clothes exposing our finest underwear or simply naked skin seem to be en vogue at the moment. Transparency as a trend is not completely new. However, it appears to be more liberal than ever before. At the moment, stores are filled with see-through garments like dresses, skirts, blouses, trousers and everybody is going crazy about it. Especially because its summer and we all feel more comfortable to show a bit more skin. Anyways, wearing hardly any clothing at all or some of those leaving lots of room for imagination is definitely one of the hottest trends so far. The question is: can we really wear it on a daily basis?
Stripes, stripes, stripes – every summer all over again :). Not a trend that comes one season and then gets stale. And that’s why I love it! Stripes are something that my closet is full of and today I want to show you how you can wear stripes every day, in different styles, for totally different occasions and moods. One day you’re may opt for a sophisticated look, but the other day you may be more in the mood for something casual. Now here is some outfit inspo on how to wear your striped pieces for a work week and never wear the same outfit twice.
I have to admit I never wore a pair of cowboy boots in my whole life before this photo shoot. I never found anything about cowboy boots especially appealing, but there is definitely some truth in the old quote “never say no to anything”. My experience tells me that, very often in life, we get to do things we thought we would never do and we definitely get to wear clothes/shoes we thought we would despise for the rest of our lives. 🙂

It’s been a while since I published my latest fashion post. A reason more to be super excited about this one, which was waiting to be published for a few weeks. I’ll tell you why in the next paragraphs. 🙂 I have to admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of ugly sneakers from the very beginning, but at some point…I desperately needed a pair. There are often trends I refuse to identify as cool and stylish, but the fact is…I’m a fashion and social media victim as well. Through social media, we learn to love things we don’t like and often the other way around. However, I would definitely say there are so many positive sides of the online world and I actually like the fact I’m being influenced a bit as well. Or maybe a lot. 🙂 Anyway, I was very much looking forward to sharing my three favorite ugly-sneakers-looks with you and I’m curious about your opinion. 🙂
