Autumn is my favorite time of the year – golden leaves, cozy days under the blanket, a good book and the warm light of candles. Moreover, I’m always looking forward to the seasonal fruits and veggies such as pumpkin, quince, eggplant and grapes. I love to cook seasonally, probably because that’s how I was raised. Where I come from, we always cook seasonally. You just can’t get strawberries or tomatoes during winter, or rather say, you can’t afford them. You always buy fruits and veggies that are in season and I think there’s the certain something to it – you always look forward to the one month when you’ll get your favorite fruits.

Cooking seasonally and regionally is also a trend that is coming up and I think it is really great that people are getting more aware of what they are eating. That’s also why I’ve decided not only to share my favorite recipes with you, but my favorite SEASONAL recipes that are easy to prepare and quick. Today I’ll start with my favorite warm fall salad: a sweet potato, eggplant, chickpea salad with a sesame dressing. (*vegan substitutes are also included in the recipe)

If someone told me a couple of years ago that sushi would eventually become one of my favorite dishes, I would say they’re crazy :D. Even though sushi was something I didn’t like at all, it has now become something I could eat at every time of the day – in the morning, at lunch, in the evening… basically all the time :D. My favorite is definitely avocado-maki. Yumminess!!!

So, if you want to make me happy, now you know what I need :D. Another thing I like eating soooo much are sweets. Gosh… However, I’m not so into these bought sweets, but rather into home-made cakes and desserts. That’s why I also love to bake. Some time ago, a certain idea came to my mind: “Why can’t I just have my favorite dish as a dessert?” Said and done :D.

Since I wasn’t sure if this would work and I didn’t find almost any recipes online, I wanted first to try it and make sure that it is edible :D. However, it wasn’t only edible, it was TDF!!! My hubby was over the moon! And that’s why I decided to try it once again and share this amazing recipe with you guys.

Why do I like it so much? It isn’t too sweet, it’s fruity and creamy at the same time, it’s vegan and gluten-free. What more could one want? It is also perfect for parties at home and it’s definitely an eye-catcher on the table :).

To me, it is no longer imaginable to leave the apartment without having a breakfast, which mostly consists of a bowl of homemade chocolate-superfood granola I very much enjoy baking. Since I rarely was happy with any supermarket-granola, I decided to start baking my own. It’s super easy to do and in the end, you get only the ingredients you like and only as much sugar in it, as you decide to put in it. I always go completely without sugar, because I prefer the taste of honey or maple syrup.

Breakfast – the most important meal of the day. However, if you gotta go out at 7 a.m. already during the week, it’s almost impossible to prepare a big breakfast and enjoy it, unless you’re a person who likes to get up half an hour earlier in order to have a proper breakfast at home. Well, to be honest, to me a half an hour of sleep is much more important than to have breakfast at home. That’s why I always make a quick smoothie and drink it on the way to the work or I just have piece of bread with marmelade in the office. However, I love breakfasts!!!!
