New York – the most famous city in the whole world. There’s a good reason, why it’s called “the city that never sleeps”. There always something you can do by day or at night, and that’s why it’s impossible to see everything in a week.  I had the opportunity to spend 3 weeks in New York, so I had enough time to see almost everything I had on my bucket list (almost everything). Based on this, I’ve compiled a list of the best things to do if you’re spending 7 days in New York City.

After quite a long time (5 years more precisely) I was finally back to my beloved Berlin. This time, however, it was not a romantic trip with my husband, but rather an adventurous one with Bombay Sapphire, the sublime premium-gin. I was extremely happy to be one of the few Austrian bloggers to attend the event. I was even more happy and excited when I got to know what kind of event it was going to be – a virtual round-the-world journey of the senses under the name “The Grand Journey”; A journey that was going to take me from Marocco via Java to China with many stopovers. The Grand Journey is an international creative project that takes place in 6 European cities where the 10 botanicals, that means the flavors which are comprised in the gin, are being illustrated.

A wise man once said “To travel is to live” and I couldn’t agree more. I can’t think of anything that makes my heart beat more faster than sitting in a plane, holding my husband’s hand and waiting for the airplane to take off.  And that’s what our summer was all about: holding hands, changing planes and celebrating our first year of marriage. This summer has treated us incredibly well and I as you could read in my previous travel posts about Puerto Vallarta and Isla Holbox, we have spent almost 3 weeks in Mexico. One of our last spots in this amazingly stunning country was Tulum – the former hippie outpost and probably one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Paris Day 3 | Culottes and Block Heel Booties

Monday, October 3, 2016

Good morning my lovelies! The weekend is over and I hope you have a good start into the new week. For me, this one is going to be pretty stressful, but I’m looking forward to managing all the tasks and appointments that are waiting for me. That’s why I took the weekend just for me and did nothing… nothing that has anything to do with work or the blog; because I knew if I didn’t take some time just for myself I probably won’t be able to manage everything that is due this week. Sometimes I think that it’s a sin to take a day off and do nothing, but don’t you think that this striving for more, working constantly and being online all the time is getting out of control? In the endless chaos we manage to stay on top of things, but we often forget or, rather say, skip out on the most important thing (or person) of all – ourselves. I know, we can’t afford to spend every day 2 or 3 hours waiting our favorite series or reading books, but at least once in a week we have to.

Paris Day 2 | Flounced Dress, Oversized Denim Coat, Brogue Boots

Monday, September 26, 2016

Hey guys! I’ve already shown you my outfit from my first day in Paris, and now it’s time for the second one. As you can see, I’m wearing again my beloved oversized denim coat from Zara, since it was the only one I’ve packed. This is a great chance to show you that you can wear one piece, but create totally different styles. The first outfit was more girly and playful. This one, even if combined with a dress, is thanks to these brogue booties more of a grunge style.

Paris Day 1 | Striped Dress, Ripped Denim Coat & Block Heels

“There are only two places in the world where we can live happy: at home and in Paris.” Ernest Hemingway

Paris is one of the cities that you visit and leave your heart there when returning home. In fact, just as Hemingway said, Paris is for me the only place away from home where I feel just like home. It’s just so warm and welcoming. One may think it is just exaggerated. I thought the same before I visited this breathtaking city seven years ago for the first time. However, after a couple of hours there, I was sure that it was not just a place like many others which I wanted to visit just once in my life. I wanted to return, to indulge in the romantic vibe and the beautiful architecture, to walk down the streets and just breathe.

Travel Report: Isla Holbox

Wednesday, September 14, 2016

After I told you all about Puerto Vallarta last week, it´s finally time to share some moments from the most beautiful spot in Mexico – Isla Holbox. Trendsetters are now heading for this hippy-chic island, 40 miles north-west of Cancun. A 20-minute ferry ride from the port of Chiquila (or a flight from Playa del Carmen or Cancun), the 26-mile long isle, where fishing is the primary industry, is a world away from high-rise hotels and package tours. This is a place where I wish I could have stayes forever. A place where time doesn’t play any role in the daily life and a place to enjoy the best Mexican cuisine.

Travel Report: Puero Vallarta

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Two weeks have passed since we came back from our Mexico-trip, but I simply didn’t make it to share my impressions until now. I decided to divide my travel reports into a few parts, because we have spent 3 weeks in this beautiful country and there is soooo much I have to to share with you. So…let´s start with the last destination on our trip – Puerto Vallarta. Originally, we were planning to go only to Puerto Vallarta, because we were invited to our friend’s wedding. However, after we looked up the flights and the prices, we decided it would be a shame not to spend a few days on the Caribbean side of Mexico as well. That´s how our friend´s wedding led to a 3-week vacation

LA Recap: Rodeo Drive

Monday, August 15, 2016

You know the situation when you’ve shot so many pics on your vacation that you can’t manage to go trough every pic, let alone share it? This is something that happens almost every time to me. I always tell myself: “This time I’ll take just a couple of pictures and actually enjoy the vacation.” A word and a blow….noooot! Yesterday I went through my West Coast road trip folder and discovered so many pics I totally forgot to show you guys. Among them were these pics from Rodeo Drive in LA. I want to share them with you because Rodeo Drive is one of the places in LA that I liked the most. It’s so beautiful. Don’t you think so?

Travel Is a Privilege

Travel is a privilege

I have booked my flight to Mexico a few weeks ago and after I had done the booking, an invitation to the Balaton Sound festival landed in my inbox. I was so happy and I could barely wait for my next adventures to begin. Even though I felt so happy and grateful for having the chance to look forward to 2 different travel destinations, I didn´t realize how blessed I am.
