How to combine an oversized denim jacket with a maxi dress with flunces

It would be wrong to say that denim is one of the new spring/summer trends, because, according to my newest inspo source – Zalando Editorial – denim was and will definitely never be out of fashion. However, from season to season, we differentiate between the different ways how denim is washed and styled. Even though I prefer my jeans in the skinny version, I would definitely always opt for an oversized denim jacket. Now I even own two of them and the blue one Im wearing on the pictures has newly become the new member of my closet. I love to combine it with dresses, especially with my favorite maxi dress with cute flounces. ♡

#COMBO: OVERSIZED DENIM JACKET WITH A MAXI DRESS WITH FLOUNCES

Ive told you all about my very first denim jacket a few months ago in this blog post. I still love it and wear it quite often, but it was high time to get a second one in a lighter shade for the spring/summer season. I really liked this one and had to have it. It does look a bit grungy, but thats exactly what I liked about it so much. I can already hear my mom saying: “You are seriously still buying ripped clothes? You are not 15 anymore”, but now I can at least answer with something like “Yap! I´m pretty sure I´m allowed to buy anything I like for the money I earn myself”. ♡

However, lets move on to my first spring combo. The temperatures in Vienna are finally “friendly” enough to wear a dress, but not without putting a jacket over it – my chance to combine my spring favorites: black maxi dress, my new oversized denim jacket and a pair of my new boots from my favorite shoe brand – A.S.98. In case you follow our Insta Stories, Im sure you could hear me going into rhapsodies about these shoes. Its been my favorite shoe brand since years and this pair goes perfectly with the rest of my outfit. Dont you think so?

Even though my combo is a bit boyfriend-like, I still feel very much feminine wearing it. Thanks to the flounces on my dress, the balance between “to girly” and “to masculine” is just right and the way I feel comfortable. On those days, when I dont feel too lazy to try on 1000 different things, I very much like to play with different styles and pieces. Now Ive found my ultimate spring combo and I can see me wearing it day after day after day. ?

MY SOURCE OF INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO NEW FASHION TRENDS

Even though I am a person who likes to experiment with different styles, Im often quite lazy when it comes to finding all those cool combos. Sometimes I catch myself wearing excatly the same outfits all over again, but hey, we all have our favorites. However, I do think its a shame to have so many “good-looking” clothes in the closet and not to be wearing them simply because one is that lazy. ?

I actually found out that Im often lazy because I have to “go out” in the WWW and search for inspiration. That is how I stumbled upon this very cool online magazine that offers not only great articles about new trends in the fashion industry, but also some really cool inspo-looks and different lookalike-products. I also really like Pinterest, but Im quite often disappointed not to be able to find any similar clothes I spot on my inspo-journey.

What an amazing look my dear Timo! I love toning down a dress by wearing it with a denim jacket and currently I am searching for a new one oversized and in lighter color like this one! You look fantastic and your style inspires me so much! I am sure my mother would do the same question to me if she saw me with another ripped jeans piece haha!
Thanks for sharing and have a great Easter weekend!
