The temperatures in Vienna are almost “low enough” to wear winter coats, but I simply couldn’t say no to this black denim jacket last week. Even though I would say that a woman has to own at least one jeans jacket, I´ve actually never had one .9 I know, it´s almost a sin, but somehow, I think I never found the perfect one…until now! I loved all about it first time I saw it and I knew I had to have it in my closet. And, having said that I don´t actually have one, I had more than enough reasons to get it. And I can already show you my first outfit1
Black Denim Jacket
Season after season, denim jacket remains THAT loyal friend for cool & stylish outfits. It’s a staple piece of clothing that every girl should have in her wardrobe and now I finally have one in mine. There are all kinds of denim jackets and my favorite style is definitely the oversized one. A denim jacket can dress down an outfit, but also make it look more trendy and fashionable. It’s simply one of those must-have pieces that are perfect for eye-catching street style outfits. Something I really love about my very first denim jacket is its vintage and boyish style. It´s perfect for combining with basic pieces like jeans (denim on denim looks amazing), dresses or skirts, like I´m wearing this time. Thanks to its oversized style, an “XXL denim jacket” is more than perfect for layering-looks. This time, I paired mine with a long vest underneath, but when the weather gets even colder—layering it underneath an overcoat is also possible.
This timeless wardrobe must-have has been women´s confidence-booster for decades and it’s now hotter than ever, all thanks to celebrities like Kim Kardashian. Even though I wouldn´t identify myself with her style, I love wearing pencil skirts, especially the one in midi-length. A pencil skirt always makes it on the wardrobe staples list and for a good reason – it’s perfect for any occasion. The easiest way to change from casual to businesslike is changing the shoes you combine with it. I´m not the biggest fan of high heels and that´s why I´ve paired my basic pencil skirt with a pair of white sneakers for a more casual street style look. And when it comes to perfect outerwear pieces to combine with a pencil skirt, one cannot go wrong with a “normal” or an oversized denim jacket.
