Block heels – the ultimate trend from the 90’s is making a major revival this season, but in a way more fashionable style. This shoe trend has found its way into the closets of every fashionista – with good reason. The incredibly comfortable block heel is just perfect for the fashion-conscious woman who is constantly on the go, but doesn’t want to take a pass on her beloved high heels. To show you how much we love this trend, we decided to make our “3 ways to wear” blog post together with Tamaris. Let us know how you like it!

The weather is switching from summer to winter temperatures, but that doesn’t mean my favourite piece of clothing – the dress, is not winter-appropriate. The 90’s are back with maxi dresses this fall and when you ask me, with a little creative styling, that dresses can be worn during the colder months of the year, too. The oversized denim jacket is another must-have piece this season; therefore I decided to combine the dress with this new statement piece of my wardrobe. The dress is designed rather simple, so I tied a bandana around my neck to set some attractive colorful accents. At least, the block heel booties put the finishing touch to the rather eccentric look.  This footwear can be styled with absolutely anything you want, from party look to street style wear, these shoes are everywhere around now. What do you think about this trend’s comeback?

You thought culottes trend was only for the warm summer days and a no-go with heavy coats and boots? Well, the comeback of block-heel boots is making our favourite summer piece wearable on cold days as well! If you are looking to create a ‘tough girl’ look, opt for a pair of block heels and combine them with your favourite pieces. I´ve been wearing culottes almost every day during the past summer and now it´s time to exchange the crop-tops with turtlenecks and Birkenstocks with some eye-catching block-heel ankle booties. And I love the culottes-boots combo. The long jeans-coat adds an extra bit of edginess to my street style look. What do you think?

Raw hem skinny jeans and at least one pair of block heel booties is something that every woman needs in her closet this fall. These two must-haves are hotter than ever and an incredibly cool combination. Another totally unexpected trend that has sneaked into the closets of the fashionistas is the hoodie. The time when hoodies were just worn in the fitness studio or for a run is definitely over. I I love wearing the hoodie with a pair of sophisticated block heel booties, like these from Tamaris with a snake texture. How do you like the combination?

<h3 style="text-align: center;">by Timo</h3> Well I know the title doesn’t make that much sense in English, but hey I have to tell the story. Even though my name is Fatime, most of my friends call me Timo. Despite the fact that the nickname actually came from a movie with a monkey called Timo, I’ve always loved it. Probably because I hated my “real” name. When we decided to start The Cosmopolitas, Timo just sounded cooler and that´s why I use it in all my emails, blog posts and in the “About Us” section on the website itself. Well, now I´m not sure if that was a good decision!<img style="margin-left: 3px; margin-right: 3px; vertical-align: middle; -webkit-box-shadow: none; -moz-box-shadow: none; box-shadow: none;" src="http://thecosmopolitas.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-emoji-one/icons/1F602.png" alt="" width="16" height="16" /> <p style="text-align: center;"><a class="fasc-button fasc-size-medium fasc-type-glossy" style="background-color: #000000; color: #ffffff;" href="http://thecosmopolitas.com/my-nickname-is-timo-but-im-still-female/" target="_blank" data-fasc-style="background-color:#000000;color:#ffffff;">Read in English</a> <a class="fasc-button fasc-size-medium fasc-type-glossy" style="background-color: #000000; color: #ffffff;" href="http://thecosmopolitas.com/mein-spitzname-ist-timo-aber-ich-bin-immer-noch-eine-frau/" target="_blank" data-fasc-style="background-color:#000000;color:#ffffff;">Auf Deutsch lesen</a></p>   <p style="text-align: center;"></p>” class=”wp-image-7031″/></figure>
