How to wear the metallic trend

How does one wear the metallic trend without looking like a Christmas tree? The line between looking like one or rocking the cool street style trend is very delicate. The metallic trend is definitely a way to make a statement, but it’s also one of those trends one shouldn´t “overdo”. In my opinion, a head to toe metallic look is way too much, because it can easily look too tacky and that´s the reason why I like to keep it simple and combine this trend with some neutral colors. Some of the favorite pieces among fashionistas are definitely pleated skirts or metallic loafers & boots, but also jackets, similar to the one I´m wearing.

Metallics offer a fun way to freshen up our monotonous winter looks and update our wardrobes a bit. It’s definitely a trend that gives our closet a little sparkle. Since metallic pieces create such a bold statement, one should avoid wearing too many, because it´s way too easy to look like a tacky Christmas tree. The easiest way to avoid overdoing it is to choose one key piece – from pleated skirts to statement bags – the choice is yours. The key to wearing metallics and keeping your look elegant is to choose one specific piece and accentuate it. I´ve paired my dazzling metallic jacket with a neural navy maxi dress and I quite like the combo. Neutral colors can really balance out a metallic piece, but still keep your look on-trend, without going over the top.

New-In: Navy Maxi-Dress

The temperatures in Vienna are a bit too high for wearing my new maxi dress I’ve bought in Hamburg last week. However, I made it to take advantage of one of the colder days and take some pics for this blog post. I’ve discovered this dress online and I simply had to have it. I loved the length, but I wasn’t sure about the color. However, I´m happy I didn’t let another gray piece to move into my wardrobe. Now I have to wait for some colder days to come, so I can wear it again ? I’ve combined it with my silver jacket and with my fav sneakers of course.?
