This time in our blog series “One trend different styles” is all about the wrap dress / wrap skirt. A part of this, I’m taking the opportunity to show you my favorite piece of clothing this summer as well as my first outfit from NYC 🙂
As we agreed on the topic wrap dress / wrap skirt, there was one thing I instantly knew: I sure won’t wear a wrap dress :D. I’ve already tried hundreds of them, but somehow they’re always too large (even if I take the size XS) and I look even skinnier when I wear them. They just don’t suit me at all :D. Is there a certain type of clothing that doesn’t suit you at all?
I’ve found this skirt accidentaly at Zara and I love it! The day I wore it in NYC, I was approached on the streets at least 10 times :D. It was like: “Giiirl, your skirt is lit!” or “OMG, where did you buy this skirt?” :D. That’s also one thing I just love about New York City. The people are throwing compliments around like confetti 😀 They’re so incredibly friendly, which is the total opposite of Vienna, where strangers only talk to me if they have something to complain about. Welcome to Vienna….
At the beginning I was pretty hurt everytime someone was unfriendly to me in the subway. However, over time you learn to press the ignore button. Gosh, I’m once again getting off the track :D. I gotta stop myself and go back to the actual topic :D.
How I Wear a Wrap Skirt
Since this isn’t a tight skirt, I’m always combining it with a body or a crop top – a wide top – absolutely not! Also when I’m wearing wide-leg pants, I combine them with bodies or crop tops, in order to emphasize the waistline. I usually wear wide tops in combination with skinny jeans or pencil skirts. Now, this time I opted for a black crop top.
Now, how do you like this outfit?
