Breakfast – the most important meal of the day. However, if you gotta go out at 7 a.m. already during the week, it’s almost impossible to prepare a big breakfast and enjoy it, unless you’re a person who likes to get up half an hour earlier in order to have a proper breakfast at home. Well, to be honest, to me a half an hour of sleep is much more important than to have breakfast at home. That’s why I always make a quick smoothie and drink it on the way to the work or I just have piece of bread with marmelade in the office. However, I love breakfasts!!!!


And that’s why I always look forward to weekends and home made, healthy breakfasts. For a couple of months now, smoothie bowls have become part of my weekend routine. They are yummy, easy to prepare and super healthy. I used to always have granola with fruit and yoghurt, but since I quit consuming dairy, I couldn’t eat it anymore. And that’s why smoothie bowls are just perfect for vegans or people who have lactose intolerance.  You just replace the yoghurt with a smoothies and there you go :).

Today I want to share the recipe of my favorite smoothie bowl :).

How to Make a Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Berry Banana Vegan Smoothie Bowl



The smoothie:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup of strawberries (if you don’t have fresh strawberries, you can use frozen too)
  • 1 cup of raspberries Tasse Himbeeren (same as for strawberries)
  • 1 apple
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

The topping:

  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • nuts of choice
  • granola
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 kiwis


Put all the ingredients for the smoothie into a blender and mix them until smooth. Serve the smoothie into 2 bowls and top it with the granola, nuts and berries and there you go – your super yummy and healthy breakfast! Bon Appétit :).

    Das sieht einfach so gut aus.
    Ich bin ehrlich, ich hätte keinen Nerv das so schön anzurichten. Ich bin da eher der Grobmotoriker.
    Aber die Bilder sorgen jetzt echt dafür dass ich HUnger hab und das nachmachen möchte.
