The year 2016 was characterized by numerous fashion trends. When we look back now, we can definitely say, the year was never boring. From boldest MUST-HAVES to huge comebacks, this is what was trending on the streets in the fashion metropoles.
Boho and ethno were very important at the beginning of the year, we show some cold shoulder in midsummer and we wore our pyjamas to parties. But there is just more: masculine forms meet our feminine garments, velvet celebrated its big revival and our shoe cabinets get some new pieces in gold and silber. Well, there were some really abstract but interesting trends in 2016. As I already said, never boring.
I personally liked the most of the trends – sometimes it was love at first sight. On the other hand, we had trends which were hard to welcome but after a personal style analysis I liked them too. And then, there were trends that I didn’t liked at all. They just didn’t underlined my personality and therefore they had nothing to do in my wardrobe.
Towards the end of the year, something very weird happend to me. Some IT-pieces, that were part of the huge trends, that I personally loved so much, I couldn’t see any longer. I have got enough of all the looks. I couldn’t wear them and I couldn’t see them on other people.
Well, as I had my last shooting in 2016, I wanted to keep my outfit as simple as possible. I didn’t want to show you how to combine a certain trend, but only how to combine just three pieces of clothing and still look stylish. Therefore I combined my new favourite oversized sweater, my Diesel chinos, and my new boots, that you already know from my latest post. Simple but very stylish and trendy at the same time, I said goodbye to 2016.
And you guys, what to you think about my last outfit in 2016? Are you already ready for the new trends that follow in 2017?
